Virtual machine is not a clustered virtual machine in the failover cluster

We use HyperV's built in replication technology to push our VMs down to a disaster recovery site. Recently, I tried to setup that replication for a virtual machine that the system admin had setup.

When I tried to enable replication though I received the following error.

"The virtual machine for which you are trying to enable replication is not a clustered virtual machine in the failover cluster. Configure it as a clustered virtual machine, and then try again."

All this means is that when the guest was created it wasn't added as a clustered role in the HyperV cluster. Adding it in Failover Cluster Manager was all that was required to fix the problem.
